On 16 October 2026, Superagentic AI organised the first Agent Engineering conference in London at Everyman Canary Wharf. The Founders Edition brought together around 100 founders, CEOs, CTOs, AI engineers, researchers and technical leaders for a full day focused on the engineering disciplines behind production AI agents. The conference was designed around a simple principle: as areas such as memory, inference, security, evaluation, search, coding agents, protocols and context engineering continue to converge, there is a growing need for a dedicated technical forum where practitioners can discuss how these systems are actually being built.
Welcome to the Founders Edition
The London edition was curated with a strong focus on the UK and European ecosystem, while also welcoming international participation. Speakers and attendees represented AI companies, agent and model labs, financial institutions, insurance companies and other organisations actively working with AI systems. The audience was deliberately technical and senior, creating an environment centred on learning, engineering discussion and thoughtful questions rather than commercial activity. The smaller format also allowed speakers and attendees to interact directly throughout the day, which became one of the strongest aspects of the conference.
A difficult morning and a strong recovery
The event experienced a significant AV failure shortly before the programme began, forcing the presentation workflow to be changed at very short notice. Speakers were unable to use their own laptops as originally planned, some live demonstrations had to be adapted or removed, and several parts of the conference production could not be delivered in the intended format. Despite this, the speakers adapted exceptionally well, the audience remained engaged, and the programme recovered strongly as the day progressed. By the afternoon, the conference was running smoothly, the Q&A sessions were highly interactive, and the feedback from attendees focused consistently on the quality of the talks, the relevance of the programme and the people in the room.

What we learned
The Founders Edition provided important validation for the Agent Engineering conference model. It demonstrated that a carefully curated technical audience, strong speakers and an independent programme can create significant value without relying on a large commercial conference structure. It also provided clear operational lessons, particularly around AV redundancy, technical rehearsals, speaker presentation workflows and on-site support. These lessons will directly inform future editions.
Next stop: San Francisco
Superagentic AI has already announced the next Agent Engineering conference in San Francisco for April 2027. The same core philosophy will continue: high-quality speakers, strong audience curation and a focused environment for builders working on the next generation of agentic systems, with a stronger production and operational framework informed by the experience in London.
The full Agent Engineering London 2026 Conference Report covers the programme, speaker contributions, audience experience, operational challenges and lessons from the Founders Edition.
